Add Notification

Adding a Notification involves defining its attributes and setting it up for use in actions. Here’s how you can add a new notification:

Steps to Add a Notification

  1. Navigate to the Notifications Section

    • Click on the Notifications icon in the Primary Navigation Bar.

    • The Notifications section will open, displaying the list of existing notifications in the Secondary Left Panel on the left side.

  2. Initiate Notification Creation

    • Click the + icon at the top of the Secondary Left Panel. This action opens the New Notification drawer.

  3. Enter Notification Details

    • A New Notification Drawer will appear with the following fields:

      • Name

        • Enter a unique name for the notification.

        • Validation Rules:

          • The name must be unique.

          • The name length should be between 2 and 100 characters.

          • The name cannot be empty, include special characters, and spaces, or start with a numeric character.

      • Description (optional)

        • Provide a brief description of the notification.

        • Validation Rules:

          • The description length should be between 0 and 400 characters.

      • Type

        • Select the type of notification. This is a multi-choice mandatory field. You can choose from:

          • SMS

          • Email

          • In-App

      • Enabled

        • Toggle this switch to activate or deactivate the notification.

        • Note: Even if the notification is enabled, the templates won’t be active unless they are filled and explicitly enabled by the users.

      • Allow Opt-out

        • Toggle this switch to enable or disable the option for recipients to opt out of receiving the notification.

  4. Submit the Notification

    • Click the Submit button to create the new notification.

    • The new notification will be added to the list in the Secondary Left Panel. You can now configure the placeholders and template body for the notification.

After adding the notification, you must configure its template and placeholders to define how the notification will appear when triggered by an action.
