Delete Permissions

Deleting a Permission removes it from the system, provided it is not currently in use. This ensures that permissions integral to existing roles and groups are not inadvertently deleted.

Steps to Delete a Permission

  1. Navigate to the Security Section

    • Click on the Security icon in the Primary Navigation Bar.

    • The Security section will expand to show three sub-modules: Permissions, Roles, and Groups.

    • By default, the Permissions module opens, displaying a list of permissions in a table on the right side of the Primary Navigation Bar.

  2. Select the Permission to Delete

    • Locate the permission you wish to delete in the listing table.

    • Hover over the permission to reveal the ("...") icon.

  3. Initiate Permission Deletion

    • Click on the ("...") icon.

    • If the permission is not in use, the Delete option will be available in the dropdown menu. Click on the Delete option.

  4. Confirm Deletion

    • A confirmation dialog will appear.

    • Confirm the deletion by clicking the Delete button in the dialog.

    • If the permission is not in use, it will be removed from the system.

A permission cannot be deleted if it is currently assigned to any roles or groups within the system. If the permission is in use, the Delete option in the "Options" dropdown menu will be disabled. Ensure that the permission is not in use before attempting to delete it.
