Delete Role

Deleting a role removes it from the system. A role cannot be deleted if it is currently in use.

Steps to Delete a Role

  1. Navigate to the Roles Section

    • Click on the Security icon in the Primary Navigation Bar.

    • Select Roles to open the Roles section in the Secondary Left Panel.

  2. Select the Role to Delete

    • Click on the desired role from the list in the Secondary Left Panel.

    • This will open the Role page on the right side of the panel.

  3. Initiate Role Deletion

    • Hover over the role you wish to delete.

    • Click the kebab menu (three vertical dots) that appears next to the role.

  4. Delete the Role

    • From the dropdown menu, select Delete.

    • If the role is currently in use, the delete option will be disabled.

    • If the role is not in use, a confirmation dialog will appear.

  5. Confirm Deletion

    • In the confirmation dialog, review the details.

    • Click Delete to proceed with the deletion or Cancel to abort the operation.

A role cannot be deleted if it is assigned to users or used elsewhere in the system. Ensure that the role is no longer in use before attempting deletion.
