Edit Role

Editing a Role allows you to update its description while keeping the name fixed.

Steps to Edit a Role:

  1. Navigate to the Roles Section

    • Click on the Security icon in the Primary Navigation Bar.

    • Select Roles to open the Roles section in the Secondary Left Panel.

  2. Select the Role to Edit

    • Click on the desired role from the list in the Secondary Left Panel.

    • This will open the Role page on the right side of the panel.

  3. Initiate Role Editing

    • Hover over the role you wish to edit.

    • Click the kebab menu (three vertical dots) that appears next to the role.

  4. Edit Role Details

    • From the menu, select Edit.

    • A drawer will open allowing you to modify the role’s details:

      • Description:

        • Update the description of the role to better reflect its purpose or responsibilities.

  5. Submit Changes

    • Click the Update button to save the changes.

    • The role’s description will be updated accordingly.

The role’s name is not editable. Any changes to the role’s permissions should be handled separately through the Assign Permissions tab.
