Edit Property

Editing a property within a lookup allows you to update its description, type-specific attributes, and key status. This process follows the same rules and procedures as editing properties for other types.

Steps to Edit a Property

  1. Navigate to the Lookup Page

    • From the Secondary Left Panel, select the lookup containing the property you wish to edit.

    • The Lookup page will display on the right side of the panel.

  2. Initiate the Property Editing Process

    • On the Lookup page, locate and click on the property you want to edit in the Properties listing section.

  3. Modify Property Details

    • An Edit Property Drawer will open.

    • The rules and options for editing are consistent with those applied to property added to other types:

      • Name

        • This field is not editable. The property name remains unchanged.

      • Description

        • Update the description as needed. Ensure it is between 0 and 400 characters long.

        • Validation Rules:

          1. The description length should be between 0 and 400 characters.

      • Type

        • The data type of the property remains fixed. It cannot be changed after creation.

      • Key

        • Toggle the Key option to set or unset this property as the key for the lookup.

        • If another property is already set as the key, this toggle will be disabled for the current property.

  4. Complete Additional Attributes

    • Update the remaining attributes based on the property's type. Ensure compliance with the constraints and requirements specific to the property type.

  5. Submit the Changes

    • Click the Update button to save your modifications.

    • The updated property details, including changes to key status and other attributes, will be reflected in the properties list under the Lookup page.
